Georgia Tech was home for Geep Wade for three years before coming to Nebraska. As the offensive line coach from 2023 through 2025, Wade developed offensive lines that were highly successful at both run and pass blocking. They established numbers like seventh nationally in fewest sacks allowed, ninth nationally in yards per carry, and 13th in rushing yards per game.
But when Wade came to Nebraska the Huskers got more than just a coach, they got a top recruiter as well. While Wade was in Georgia, he was recruiting and building relationships. Nebraska is now reaping the benefits of Wade’s hard work and the trust he built. The Huskers just picked up their third offensive line commitment in the 2027 class in a week’s time. The kicker – all three are from the state of Georgia.
Today Wade gave the Huskers another big win when they received a commitment from Timi Aliu. The 6’4”,295-pound 4-Star OT from Locust Grove, Georgia is ranked the 25th best player in Georgia. Nebraska beat out Florida, Georgia, Clemson, and Illinois.
Prior to Aliu, the Huskers received commitments from Jordan Agbanoma and KD Jones, both from Loganville, Georgia. Agbanoma, a 4-Star is ranked as the number 7 interior linemen nationally, and number 10 best player in Georgia. The 6’4”, 270-pound Jones is a 3-Star IOL who is ranked as the 85th best player in Georgia.
The three Georgia O-linemen join Matt Erikson, a 6’7”, 280-pound 3-Star OT from Omaha, Nebraska. Erickson is ranked as the 5th best recruit in the state of Nebraska.
Wade has his sights set on two other offensive linemen, Kyler Kuhn, a 6’2”, 280-pound 4-Star IOL who is ranked 3rd in the state of Missouri and Barrett Catrell, a 6’4”, 270-pound 3-Star IOL from Ashland, Nebraska. Catrell is ranked as the 9th best recruit in Nebraska. Both players have official visit dates set for June 12th.
Wade’s Georgia connection has also carried over to coaches Addison Williams and Marcus Satterfield. Williams brought in safety Corey Hadley from Tyrone, Georgia, a 6’1”, 180-pound 4-Star ranked 107 nationally and 6th in the state of Georgia.
Satterfield is recruiting another player from Loganville, tight end Olafemi “Joey” Hunter a 6’5”, 255-pound 3-Star. Hunter is ranked number 114 in Georgia. Other than Nebraska he currently holds offers from Georgia Tech, Syracuse, NC State, Pittsburgh, and West Virgina. He has set an official visit date for June 5th.
Geep Wade has already had a major impact on the Husker program, and a game has yet to be played. Between Wade’s coaching savvy and ability to recruit it’s exciting to imagine the Husker offensive line’s future. It’s too early to say, but Wade is bringing the kind of talent in it takes to build another ‘Pipeline’.
GO BIG RED!! SIMPLE, FAST, VIOLENT!!
